Two films / Two Films

two good movies I've seen this weekend. The first was "The New World", directed by Terrence Malik. I have seen it because of my sisters has one played in the movie. The film was very good and very beautiful. The acting was very good and the cinematography was very nice. I have no idea how she has so much beautiful wood found, but the countryside is a movie star of this film.

The film is unfortunately a bit slow. Nothing happens quickly here. And the words are almost all insignificant. The director has also used a few times very apparent metaphor. This was especially true in the scenes in England. But if you have patience, this film is especially abundant.

Today we have "October Fest" seen. This film is a new German film. It's about the world famous festivals in Munich. "Oktoberfest," a drama is more than one day during Oktoberfest. It says six or so stories that happen during Oktoberfest. The film reminds me of Robert Altman's "Nashville" because it has many actions of a story that happen with, by, for and with each other. Est is also about the terrorist attack, has happened in 1980. The acting in this film is very fresh. The actors are very natural. And the film is a good idea about the party.

We had a surprise at the end. The director, John Brunner was there (at Landmark E Street Theatre), and he talked to us after the film. He spoke about the challenges of filming during real Oktoberfest. The thirteen days of filming on location. He also spoke about the budget (2 million €), the roles, the stories, etc.
For me this was especially intersting.

I have a few pictures of "Oktoberfest" was intended here. Unfortunately I can not pictures from "The New World" hier aufgestellt. Ich kann beide Filme empfehlen. Ich bin froh, dass ich beide Filme gesehen habe.

I saw two good movies this weekend. The first was "The New World", directed by Terrence Malik. I saw it because one of my sisters-in-law acts in the film. The film was very good and particularly beautiful. The acting was very good, and the Cinemetography was very beautiful. I have no idea how they found so much beautiful forest, but Nature is one of the stars of this film.

The film is also, unfortuantely, a little slow. Nothing happens quickly. And words are almost all unimportant. The director also has a used a few very obvious Metaphors. That was particularly true in the scenes in England. But if you have patience, this film is very rich.

I posted here a couple of pictures from "Oktoberfest." Unfortunately, I can not post pictures from "The New World." I can recommend both films. I am glad that I saw both of them.
